Type species of Pachylis (WRD)

Content:  Packauskas (2010) attributed the designation of pharaonis as the type species of Pachylis to O’Shea, 1980b, but this species, unbeknown to either O’Shea or Packauskas, had already been designated by Blanchard in d’Orbigny, 1847: 386 with the unequivocal statement, ‘L’espèce type est le P. pharaonis (Lygaeus id. Fab.).’
