  • Dolling, 2010, This genus is very close to Acanthocoris and the latter may not be holophyletic if these species are excluded from it. Linnavuori (1978) considered that Petalocnemis pachycerus was not congeneric with the other species catalogued here and erected for it a new genus, Chaerommatellus. As pachycerus is the type species of Petalocnemis, the two genera are objective synonyms
